Many teachers ask me which apps I recommend for school use. Well, here's a list of apps that I love using at our school…but keep these things in mind:

• It's not about the technology, it's about the learning. Don't try to teach tech; start with a purpose and then choose the appropriate app for that purpose.
• My favourite apps are content creation apps that can be used across the curriculum and across grades (e.g. Book Creator, Adobe Spark Video, etc.). The possibilities are endless with these apps because they can be used with any grade for any subject.
• Don't get overwhelmed by the number of apps on this list. There are always several apps that do the same thing, and you don't need them all. Choose the one that suits you best and allows you to focus on the task and not the tech.
• If this stuff is scary for you, start small. Get comfortable with one app or project, and then move on to something else when you're ready.
